Dress Trousers/Pants

I recently came back after taking time off to go to europe for a few months. I'm updating my wardrobe. My neck dropped from a 16.5 to now needing 15.5-16. I'm buying new CT shirts and have a jhilburn lady coming in today to get measured for new shirts.

After putting on all my trousers, I feel as if I am swimming in them. Threw them all out. Where is a good place, comparative to shirts at CT, to get lets say 6-8 pairs of slacks? I have about 4 suits, but need dress trousers for when I'm not wearing suits, they should more like suit bottoms rather than casual trousers.

JoSABank is running a 3 pants for $225, Hilburn pants are $225 each, CT pants are around $150 each. Are JosABank pants shitty in feel and construction compared to CT or Hilburn?

Asian business attire

I've seen around here a lot of discussion about how black suits are inappropriate business attire. However, the majority of students (UG) in my school wear black suits for EVERYTHING - presentations, interviews, networking events. I tend to wear my charcoal suit but I'm always the odd one out.

Is anyone privy about what's the protocol in Asia? FYI, I live in Singapore.

Winter jacket for business casual

As a person who lives in a year round warm weather climate, I'm sort of a oblivious to the world of cold weather business attire. In the coming months, ill be on an engagement in Boston - which will require a winter jacket. If the office attire is business casual, what type of jacket is acceptable? Is a north face/patagonia type fleece too casual?

Hi I'm an undergraduate student and I'm passionate on valuing a company and building financial model. I have become an expert in building financial model by using Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet after two-three months. I have applied 100 company since the month of August, I have been following up with no update on any position. My professor have told me to apply as a personal banker, something that I am not interested. Can anyone give me an advice if I were to start as a personal banker how can I make a transition to the middle office, such as operation, risk, compliance division?

First NY winter coming up and I am looking for winter wear advice. I like the look and feel of peacoats, but currently I only have a black one. While this is fine for going out at night, I need something differenf for the office.I am thinking navy or Charcoal gray, or there any reason I should pick one color over the other?

Mgmt Consultancy Interview - need a good tie

Morning all, I am interviewing at a one of the top 3 mgmt consultancy firms and I have put all my ties in storage (flat is being renovated). First is going to be this Wednesday so internet won't cut it, I need an outlet that is somewhere in London.

A nicely cut dark blue number (not so dark as it is difficult to distinguish black from blue). I like to wear slightly thinner ties, any recommendations.

I just went to their site and they're offering a "slim" line for their suits. Goes for $270. Now during their promotions where they give you basically 2 extra free suits, shirts, ties, etc.. Is this not a good deal?

If you're buying a slim suit for $270, you can go to a decent tailor to put in some upgrades. Then you can also do the same for the suits and shirts. Anyone buy from them?

Leather Belt Straps (Already Have Buckle)

I was given a Tiffany's belt buckle (http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/Item.aspx?sku=1010...) with my initials on it a year ago and never got around to getting a leather strap/belt for it. I've done some searching, but I'm having trouble finding a place that sells decent straps. Almost every search result I come across is for complete belts w/ buckles. Any recommendations?
